Hello, my name is Shiva Karimkhani, an intern architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and certified BCIN-Designer.
Currently, I hold the position of Job Captain at Q4A.
Having graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and a Master's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning, my journey in the field spans over a decade focusing on high-rise and mid-rise residential, mixed-use development, commercial spaces, office layouts, retail, and transformative renovation projects.
My passion for architecture began in childhood, playing with Lego and drawing homes, and watching my uncle while he was drawing beautiful and massive architecture drawings by his rapids. These early experiences shaped my dedication to the field.
I am also passionate about environmental sustainability and Net-Zero homes and buildings. I look forward to working on beautiful and healthy sustainable buildings at Q4A.
Outside of work, I am a yogi and love doing yoga in hot studio and meditation in nature. I also enjoy travelling and visiting new places and unique architecture and urban spaces in cities.
