Design Team Member

Hey, I'm Ryan, an intermediate architectural technologist here at Q4A!

I graduated from the Architectural Technologies Program at The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Soon after obtaining my diploma, I became a part of the Q4A Calgary Office team. And I have worked here ever since, gaining over six years of experience with the firm.

Since I have always been a very visual person, with an eye for detail and a passion for design, choosing a profession in the architectural industry made perfect sense for me!

I also love drafting. Whether it be an elevation design, an architectural detail, or even a page layout, I get a lot of enjoyment out of deciding the best way to visually communicate an idea and making sure the result looks clean.

I also really like the collaboration that I have with my team. Together, we can effectively solve tricky design problems and make sure all our deadlines are met. It makes my job a lot easier having a team I know I can depend on!

Outside of work, I enjoy drawing and acrylic painting. I also enjoy cycling and, on most days, will make the 15km commute to the office on my bike.

Relating to that, I am also passionate about the New Urbanism movement, and as such, am a strong believer in access to public transportation and creating more walkable communities.
